Aleppo, Jan. 08 (SANA) The Operations Command of the Syrian Arab Army announced Thursday that it will launch concentrated operations against SDF organization positions in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zeid after 1:30 PM. The command called on civilians to stay away from all SDF positions. The command also announced a curfew in the neighborhoods, effective from 1:30 PM until further notice. The announcement comes as the army prepares to carry out operations against SDF organization positions in the area. The Operations Command urged civilians to immediately stay away from all SDF positions, adding that the army would begin targeted operations in these neighborhoods after 1:30 PM. The Aleppo governorate has extended the exit period of civilians and families trapped in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods until 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Aleppo, Jan.5 (SANA) Three soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army were injured Monday when SDF drones targeted a military police checkpoint in the vicinity of Deir Hafer, east of Aleppo northern province. “As part of its ongoing escalation against army positions across different regions of the Republic, SDF drones targeted a military police checkpoint near army deployment points in the vicinity of Deir Hafer, east of Aleppo,” Media and Communication Directorate at Defense Ministry told SANA in a statement.   Three soldiers were injured and two vehicles were disabled following the attack, the statement added.   The Syrian Arab Army will respond to this aggression in an appropriate manner. Aleppo, Jan. 5 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Army said Monday it has begun targeting drone launch sites used by the SDF near the town of Deir Hafer in eastern Aleppo, following a series of drone attacks. A military source said the attacks wounded more than six civilians and members of the military police. The source added that the army’s response would be limited. Earlier in the day, three soldiers were injured in a drone attack on a military police checkpoint in the area. Source: SANA 

The Department of Media and Communication at the Ministry of Defense announced that the General Staff of the Syrian Arab Army issued an order to halt targeting of SDF fire sources in Aleppo after neutralizing several of them, narrowing the scope of clashes away from civilians. The Department of Media and Communication told SANA that the Syrian Arab Army today stood up to its responsibilities in protecting and defending the people, without making any moves to alter control lines, limiting its actions to responding to sources of fire. Several neighborhoods in Aleppo city came under attacks today by the SDF using mortar shells, rocket launchers, and heavy machine guns, resulting in the death of two civilians and the injury of 15 others.
