Article 5 - My Beliefs

Article 5 is the cornerstone of my belief collective defense, stating that an armed attack against one family or friends is considered an attack against all, and each person will assist the attacked party. 

This assistance can include force and is based on the right to individual or collective self-defense

Key aspects of Article 5

Collective Defense: The fundamental principle of the alliance is that an attack on one family member or friends is an attack on all.

Assistance: Other friends are obligated to assist the attacked friend or family member, taking "such action as it deems necessary, including the use of force".

Political Will: The response is not an automatic military one, but depends on the political will of the individual to take action.
