Syria’s Defense Ministry denies reports of clashes around al-Aqtan prison in Raqqa

Damascus, Jan. 20 (SANA) The Syrian Defense Ministry on Tuesday denied reports of clashes around al-Aqtan prison in Raqqa, stressing that the site is secured.

The Media and Communications Department of the Ministry of Defense told SANA, “We deny reports of clashes around al-Aqtan prison in Raqqa,” affirming that the prison is fully secured, with military police and internal security forces deployed on-site.

The Media Directorate added that the Ministry of Interior remains in continuous contact with the prison administration to ensure that all necessary supplies are provided.
